| Éloïse Théorêt Interview (August 2008)
Birthday: April 19th 1989.
Hometown: Montreal, Canada!
Reside: Montreal, Canada.
Years skating: 5 years.
Sponsors: Palm Isle Skateshop, ULC skateboards, Sitka Clothing.
How were you introduced to skateboarding? What got you started?
One day my neighbour bought a skateboard and at the time there were only 5 houses on my street, so we all start skating. Then they all left except for me!
What was your first set up?
Omg...I think it was a EQ Skateshop board with some shitty Relik trucks.
What are the Skirtboarders and how did you get hooked up with them?
Skirtboarders is like a big family. The sickest crew of friends that skate, travel, film and party together! I‘ve been hooked up cause I saw an article of them in the Exposé magazine and decided to email Mathilde (crew’s creator), skated with them a couple times, became a friend and that’s it I’m a member of the crew now!
What is the best and worst thing about your hometown?
The best part is the fact that I don’t have to pay a rent cause I live at my father’s house. Ahah! People, food and events in Montreal are sick too. The worst thing is definitely the winter...can’t skate for like 5 months. Fuck snow.
Besides skateboarding, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Play rock band? Ahah oh and real music too (Guitar, Piano). Being such a geek. ‘’Paradise club sandwich’’ is the best part though .
Top 5 skateboarders of all time?
Mike Mo, Tony Tave, I don't know there’s way too many good skaters.
Top 5 skate videos of all time?
Fully Flared , And Now, First Love, Really Sorry! and What If .
Favorite new trick or trick you want to learn?
Fuckin fs flip! i just don’t understand.
Do you prefer to skate with guys or girls?
I don’t care. Most of the time I skate with guys, but for sure I’m more motivated when I skate with girls.
Describe your dream session.
Skate some sick spots with my homies on a sunny day, not get kicked out, get tricks done and then get wasted...oh and play rock band. Ahah!
What kind of music have you been listening to lately?
80’s Rock n' Roll.
What is something most people don't know about you?
I LOVE mayonnaise.
What do you have planned for this year?
I'm going back to school on August 25th and then probably going back to Cali this winter... and somewhere else with the Skirtboarders.
Shout outs and thanks?
Thanks to you Lisa for everything! Thanks to Mathilde, Julie and all the Skirtboarders, Nic Côté (ULC skateboards), Martin Gagnon (Palm Isle Skateshop), Mel Greene (Sitka Clothing), Lili and Tiff (Rugged Riders) and all my friends, you know who you are!
