How were you introduced to skateboarding? What got you started?

I was living in Cuba when I first learned how to skate… A guy that worked at the near-by airport built us a small quarter-pipe and we just started skating it every day after school. We would session it everyday until dark. Those are good memories.

What was your first set up?

My 1st real board was a purple Santa Cruz Rob Roscopp, fluorescent orange gullwing trucks, green OJ wheels, clear griptape.

What is the best and worst thing about your hometown?

Best things are my family, friends, the pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, The Bier Garden, and the fact that it’s not California.  Worst things are the humidity, and the surf sucks most of the time unless there’s a hurricane.

Besides skateboarding, what do you like to do in your spare time?

Work on the Alliance website, surf, create art, dream, and of course, stir the pot.

Top 5 skateboarders of all time?

Well this list always changes... for now, these are my favorites: Peter Hewitt, Hosoi, Alex Perelsen, Rune Glifberg, Bob Burnquist

Top 5 skate videos of all time?

Villa Villa Cola and Peter Hewitt’s home videos.

Favorite new trick or trick you want to learn?

Favorite trick- I like any trick going super fast on big trannie; Ollies, stalefishes.. Trick I want to learn- frontside gay twist.

Do you prefer to skate with guys or girls?

I like skating with anyone who gets the session going and keeps it upbeat.

Describe your dream session.

A session with friends with good music blasting.

What kind of music have you been listening to lately?

I try to mix it up and listen to a little of everything.

What is something most people don't know about you?

Years ago, I smuggled Haitians into the country.

What do you have planned for this year?

To keep pushing the limits through skating and to travel more… Also, to keep working on the Alliance to help make more positive changes for the ladies.

Shout outs and thanks?

Thanks to my family and friends for all their support. Thanks to my sponsors Nikita, Nixon, Go211.com, Mechanical Grip and 187 pads.
